Student Positions at Zangenberg Analytics:

About us:

Zangenberg Analytics is a market-leading data-driven consultancy specializing in IT and technology strategy. Since our founding in 2010, our mission has been to bring transparency to a market that has historically lacked it. We are dedicated to helping clients navigate a complex landscape where vendors often exploit information asymmetry to their advantage. With our expertise and innovative solutions, we have successfully achieved this mission and established ourselves as leaders in the industry.

Our clients include the largest Scandinavian private and public entities across sectors such as Energy, Healthcare, Finance, Pharmaceuticals, Defense, Agriculture, Retail, and Manufacturing. We pride ourselves on having made a significant impact in these industries by providing strategic insights, driving decision-making, and enabling our clients to achieve their full potential within IT and technology.

We are currently targeting bright and passionate Research Assistants and Junior Consultants to join our team and support our continued growth in Europe. As a student at Zangenberg Analytics, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing success and work on challenging projects that have a real impact on our clients’ businesses.

Responsibilities:

As a student, you will play a vital role in our projects from day one. You will be fully integrated into project teams, collaborating closely with 2-3 Consultants, Principals, or Partners. Our flat hierarchy will encourage you to take on a high level of responsibility early in your career and continue to grow professionally as your skillset develops.

During engagements, your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying client’s primary challenges and proposing necessary analyses.
  • Coordinating data collection and analyzing data using Excel, PowerBI, and proprietary Python-based tools developed in-house.
  • Engaging in problem-solving, combining data analysis with technological input and knowledge of the client’s business strategy.
  • Participating in workshops with stakeholders across the client organization, including technicians, controllers, procurement, and senior management.
  • Discussing findings, such as the commercial impact of an analysis identifying a target price and strategic optimization levers.
  • Creating a compelling storyline, presenting results, and providing recommendations.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, we are looking for someone who embodies the following qualities:

  • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Business Administration with a strong academic record.
  • You have practical experience with data analysis and a strong analytical sense, effectively communicating complex problems using data, business logic, and economic principles.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments, enjoying teamwork with people from diverse academic backgrounds.
  • You are eager to take on responsibility and have a proactive approach in initiating solutions independently.
  • You have a genuine interest in the intersection of strategy, technology, and economics, staying updated on industry trends and advancements

Company Culture:

At Zangenberg Analytics, we believe in our people and invest in long-term career opportunities. You will join an open and supportive culture where you will be actively guided and trained during projects in collaboration with the project team. We offer a small and growing company environment, giving you the opportunity to influence our expansion in Europe. In return, we promise you the opportunity to make a significant impact on the European IT market, supported by an entire organization backing your professional development.

We offer a flexible work schedule, with an expectation of approximately 20 hours per week. We understand the importance of balancing work and studies, and we prioritize flexibility, especially around deadlines.

Additionally, as a close-knit team, we enjoy each other’s company outside of office hours and believe in fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. We are looking for a likeminded candidate who shares our enthusiasm for collaboration and creating a positive team dynamic.
